Starting from TOWNCRAFT archive pieces and SAMPLEs,
the “ONE IN THE WORLD” project gives each garment a new look, one piece at a time.

Dyeing, embroidery, patchwork, remaking.
Making the most of the original design and materials, we add handwork suited to each garment, so that it is reborn as clothing with new value.

No two share the same material, the same treatment or the same finish.
Things that have aged over time. Colors and textures that came about by chance. Details added by hand.
All of it becomes the character of that one garment.

Rather than making things in large numbers, we make use of what already exists and, with today's sensibility, carry it forward into new value.
This is one form of upcycling, as TOWNCRAFT vintage sees it.

Every piece is one of a kind. No two are the same.

PRINTED HAND-DYE COTTON KNIT

A printed cotton knit, combined with a gradient dye and gold buttons. The gold buttons were used on an official 1996 Atlanta Olympics blazer that we bought in the United States.
